Youth Camp Begins Here...

Spend a week backpacking at Lassen Volcanic National Park with Peak Adventures! Not only will you learn essential backpacking skills, but you will also gain the skills that it takes to become a confident leader among your peers, on sports teams, or in your community.

Monday: Meet at Peak Adventures office, drive to Lassen. Start backpacking at Summit Lake.
Monday – Friday: Hike through Lassen, changing camp sites each day.  Distance and camp sites each day are determined by the camp staff based on the physical conditioning of the campers.
Friday: Hike back to Summit Lake, drive back to the Peak Adventures office.
Camp includes transportation, knowledgeable camp staff, technical equipment, t-shirt and all meals from dinner on Monday to lunch on Friday.
Campers bring their personal items, clothing, eating utensils and lunch on Monday. They may use personal backpacking gear pending approval of the camp staff.

How much does this camp cost?
This camp is $405 for a week-long adventure.


A minimum deposit of 50% per child, per camp is required for all registrations (non-refundable). Full payment is due 14 days prior to camp start.

When do I drop off/pick up my child?
This camp begins at 8am Monday (check in starts at 7:45) and ends 6pm Friday.

Where do I drop off/pick up my child?
Camp drop off and pick up will be in front of The WELL near Parking Structure III.  Please refer to THIS MAP.

What does my child need to bring to camp?

• Day pack • Swimsuit • 2 Nalgenes/ water bottles
• 2 t-shirts • No jeans • Personal hygiene items
• 2 pairs of shorts • 2 pairs of wool socks • Towel
• Sweatshirt • Hiking boots • Bowl
• Warm hat • Rain gear • Spoon/ fork
• Sun hat • 2 lawn sized trash bags • Insulated cup
• Bandana • 2 Ziplock bags • Camera
• Pants and warm tops
   (fleece/ wool)
• Sunscreen • Toilet paper
• Long underwear (tops & bottoms, synthetic) • Sunglasses • Lunch for Monday
• Sandals w/ heel strap
   (no flip flops)
• Lip balm  

Camps must have a minimum of six campers for the program to run. No guarantees.
