Expedition Camp (ages 13-17)
This week-long backpacking camp is designed for those looking for a wilderness experience that is beyond the ordinary summer camp. Backcountry travel gives youth the opportunity to increase confidence, self-reliance, and deepen their appreciation and connection to nature. Caring and trained counselors will teach campers essential backpacking skills that include basic campcraft, packing and preparation, map reading, backcountry cooking, and Leave No Trace principles. The skills and characteristics gained through this experience can be taken back home and applied to everyday life.
Camp includes transportation, knowledgeable camp staff, technical equipment, t-shirt and all meals from dinner on Monday to lunch on Friday. Campers are required to bring their personal items, clothing, eating utensils and lunch on Monday. This camp meets at 8:00 am Monday and ends at 6:00 pm Friday.

Week 7: 7/30 - 8/3 - Lassen National Park

When do I drop off/pick up my child?
This camp begins at 8:00am Monday (check in starts at 7:45) and ends 6:00pm Friday.

WHAT NOT TO BRING
- Jeans or Cotton Clothing: Not appropriate clothing for backpacking. Staff will go over this at the pre-trip meeting.
- Electronics: Please leave all electronics such as iPods, video games, and cell phones at home. Our staff will contact you should any emergency arise.
- Campers are not allowed to use electronics from the time they arrive at camp until they are picked up. This includes time in the van. Camp staff reserve the right to gather electronic devices and leave in the Peak Adventures office.
- Valuable items
A minimum deposit of 50% per child, per camp is required for all registrations (non-refundable). Full payment is due 14 days prior to camp start.
Camps must have a minimum of six campers for the program to run. No guarantees. You will receive a full refund for any cancelled camps.
